This is an old chinese style cabinet I had knocking around. I have painted my kitchen table and chairs with french linen, I wanted an injection of colour, so I painted the cabinet in Emperor's silk here it is

you too can paint your lamp shade!

Today I painted my lamp shades. They were dark purple and didn't match my new decor, I bought new ones. They old shade had a large fitting to fit the light and the new ones had a small, the large ones in the shop were all funky colours, so, I painted my old ones :) I used Annie Sloan chalk paint in original. The shades needed two coats of paint as the colour was so dark, take a peek

Today I painted my kitchen table and chairs, they were very tired and needed a new lease of life. I decided to paint them in Annie Sloan's french linen and limed them with original. All in all it was a very pain free experience and I can highly recommend this paint. There is no prep work involved at all just that the piece been painted is clean. No sanding, no primer, nothing just the chalk paint
